President

Daniel leads Heartmonic, and its strategic and advisory practice.  After law school he started his career as an energy lawyer with a firm in Washington, D.C.  There he represented energy companies, financial firms, and other clients on electricity and natural gas matters before federal and state agencies and in commercial transactions.  Daniel then moved home to Michigan to start a family with his wife Anna, and briefly worked in private practice representing energy and telecommunications clients.

In 2004, Daniel became General Counsel for ITC Holdings Corp., an independent electricity transmission company based in Novi, Michigan.  While serving as General Counsel, Daniel helped lead the company through its Initial Public Offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange, two major corporate acquisitions, and the formation of new business development companies in new territories to build infrastructure projects.  After 10 years as General Counsel, Daniel then led the company’s domestic business development efforts, and then served as Chief Administrative Officer where he oversaw regulatory affairs, government relations, human resources, strategic planning, and corporate communications.  During his time as a senior executive, ITC Holdings grew from a regional Michigan operation under private equity ownership to a publicly traded business spanning seven states.

Since 2020, Daniel has focused on small business growth, placemaking with projects like Brighton Light House and All  Heart Garage, and leading Heartmonic.  He also has led North Manitou Light Keepers, a non-profit organization he helped found.  This non-profit organization acquired and is restoring the North Manitou Shoal Light (also known as “the Crib”), an offshore lighthouse in Lake Michigan and part of Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.

Daniel earned his undergraduate degree from James Madison College at Michigan State University.  He attended law school at George Washington University.  He grew up in Flint, Michigan working on cars in the garage and making art.  He loves his family, and enjoys working with  people to build things of meaning.

Chief of Creativity and Programming

Anna Oginsky, LLMSW, is an award-winning author, therapist, artist, and creative wellness practitioner who designs meaningful experiences that invite people to reconnect with their own inner wisdom, curiosity, and capacity for insightful reflection.

In 2012 Anna founded Heart Connected, a healing arts practice built around a simple idea: when people slow down and engage creatively, they can hear themselves more clearly. Anna uses tools like writing, art, meditation, and movement to help people clear the way to their creativity.

At Heartmonic, Anna brings this approach into work with leaders, teams, and organizations. She helps to curate experiences that get people out of their usual modes of thinking and relating. Building on the belief that creativity is also a powerful practice for building resilience, Heartmonic makes space for creative experiences that ask us to experiment, remain curious, tolerate uncertainty, adapt when something doesn't go as planned, and discover possibilities we couldn't see at the outset, which are all capacities that matter deeply in leadership and times of change.

Drawing on her background in psychotherapy, various creative practices, mindfulness, and community-building, Anna also develops and facilitates creative programming at Brighton Light House. She brings the human and creative dimension to Heartmonic, helping to create experiences that complement strategic thinking with space for connection, imagination, and possibility.

Director, Finance and Business Operations

Kelly Luck joined Heartmonic in 2019 and serves as Director of Finance and Business Operations. In her role, she supports Heartmonic’s strategic advisory client engagements and programming and manages the organization’s financial and business operations.

Kelly began her career in public accounting as an auditor. She later started her own consulting practice, providing contract CFO, accounting, and business support services to small businesses, non-profit organizations and entrepreneurs. Throughout her career, Kelly has most enjoyed the relationships she builds with the people behind the businesses. She cares deeply about the clients she works with and finds great satisfaction in helping others succeed, pursue their goals, and turn their ideas and dreams into reality.

A Brighton, Michigan native, Kelly earned her undergraduate degree in finance and accounting from the Eli Broad College of Business at Michigan State University. Having grown up in the community, she especially enjoys being part of Heartmonic’s work with local businesses, leaders, and organizations.

Community Manager, Brighton Light House and All Heart Garage

Melissa leads the member and guest experience at Brighton Light House and All Heart Garage, leveraging her experience in curated experiences, facility management, and event planning. This includes managing community spaces to steward a high-quality experience for members and guests, relationship management, point of contact for booking and hosting professional meetings, and supporting high-impact programming.

Melissa previously managed and trained personnel supporting Walt Disney experiences. She also managed member services for a trade association, and coordinated guest experiences for a member community in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

Melissa also was a small business owner, leading her own photography studio for several years. She won awards for her photography with a passion for capturing newborn photography.

Melissa studied Elementary Education at Eastern Michigan University. She is a Michigan native who has made her roots in Brighton, Michigan where she is raising two kids with her husband.
