Daniel Oginsky is an executive leader with extensive and varied experience in business growth, energy and infrastructure, corporate governance, and building a non-profit.  His career has focused on working with people to build things that matter.

After earning his law degree from George Washington University Law School, Daniel practiced energy law in Washington D.C. and Michigan.  In 2004 he joined ITC Holdings, the nation’s premier independent electric transmission company, where he served as a senior executive for 15 years.

Daniel first served as ITC’s EVP and General Counsel, helping to guide the company through its initial public offering and listing on the New York Stock Exchange, leading major corporate acquisitions, and building the legal and regulatory infrastructure that supported the company's growth.  He later led the company’s domestic business development efforts, and then served as Chief Administrative Officer, overseeing regulatory affairs, government relations, human resources, strategic planning, and corporate communications.  During his time as a senior executive, ITC Holdings grew from a regional Michigan operation under private equity ownership to a publicly traded business spanning seven states.

In 2016, Daniel, his wife Anna, and other partners founded a new non-profit organization to acquire and steward the North Manitou Shoal Light, an historic offshore lighthouse in Lake Michigan near Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore.  Since then, Daniel and the North Manitou Light Keepers team have built a strong organization, a thriving membership, and a successful capital campaign.  They also have opened the lighthouse to the public for tours and are nearing completion of a 10 year restoration effort.

In 2020, Daniel launched Heartmonic with his wife Anna.  First, Daniel and Anna imagined and built Brighton Light House (a restoration) and All Heart Garage (a greenfield development).  These distinctive properties function as physical resources people use to get work done, grow their businesses, and build community.  With Anna’s leadership, these communities also provide quality programming that helps build personal resilience and cultivate creativity.  Today, Brighton Light House and All Heart Garage are home to a thriving community of residents, members, and community members working to grow professionally and personally.

Daniel now leverages his experiences in creating and growing new ventures, building strategies, managing operations, team development, and leadership into helping other leaders manifest their vision.  He works with founders, executives, and growing organizations as a strategic advisor and thought partner, serving as a fractional executive, helping to build organizational structure, developing strategy, or simply being the trusted sounding board that many leaders quietly need.  His approach is consistent: be invested in the journey, and help build success.  In addition to building a business or non-profit organization, Daniel brings particular depth to leaders and organizations working in or around the energy industry, where more than two decades of legal and executive experience give him a perspective few advisors can offer.
